Natalie Merchant è una cantautrice e musicista americana nata il 26 ottobre 1963 a Jamestown, New York. È diventata famosa come membro della band 10,000 Maniacs alla fine degli anni '80 e nei primi anni '90. La sua voce distintiva e le sue abilità compositive hanno contribuito al successo della band, che ha pubblicato album acclamati dalla critica come In My Tribe e Blind Man's Zoo.

Nel 1993, Natalie Merchant ha intrapreso una carriera da solista, pubblicando il suo album d'esordio intitolato Tigerlily.
