Glen Hansard è la spalla fissa di Eddie Vedder. Nel 2017, l’artista irlandese ha partecipato a Firenze Rocks, precedendo lo storico frontman dei Pearl Jam e raggiungendolo in seguito sul palco per una serie di duetti emozionanti. Glen Hansard ha accompagnato Eddie Vedder nel “Europe 2019 Live”, aprendo le tappe di Firenze Rocks, Collisioni Festival di Barolo, Lisbona, Madrid, Barcellona, Dusseldorf e Dublino.

Glen Hansard è noto come voce e chitarra della band “The Frames” ed è parte del duo folk rock “The Swell Season”. È anche un attore affermato: Hansard ha recitato, tra gli altri, nel film pluripremiato ai BAFTA “The Commitments” ed ha interpretato il protagonista nel film “Once” (Una volta), pellicola per cui ha vinto l’Oscar alla Migliore Canzone Originale nel 2007 con il brano “Falling Slowly”. Per l’adattamento teatrale di “Once”, Glen Hansard ha, inoltre, ricevuto il Grammy al Miglior Album di un Musical Teatrale nel 2013.

Il sound di Glen Hansard mescola indie, folk e rock. In “This Wild Willing”, uscito il 12 aprile 2019 e anticipato dal singolo “Fool's Game”, Hansard abbandona il genere di riferimento, l’indie rock melodico, per abbracciare sonorità appartenenti alla world music e alla musica psichedelica.
