Ben Howard è apparso sulla scena musicale indie folk nel 2008 con l’EP indipendenteGames In The Dark. Il debutto discografico dell’autore di Only Love risale al 2011 con Every Kingdom, grazie al quale è stato nominato al Mercury Prize 2012. Nell’anno successivo, il cantautore londinese ispirato da John Martyn ha vinto i Brit Award per British Breakthrough Act e British Solo Male Artist e si è esibito sul Pyramid Stage di Glastonbury Festival.

Dal 2017, Ben Howard è parte del gruppo A Blaze of Feather insieme a India Bourne, Mickey Smith, Nat Wason, Rich Thomas e Kyle Keegan.

Dopo il più cupo I Forget Where We Were (2014) e l’ultimo album Noonday Dream (2018), Ben Howard è tornato con Collections from the Whiteout, il nuovo album registrato tra New York, Devon e Parigi e prodotto da Aaron Dessner. La voglia di collaborare con il produttore e membro dei The National è scaturita durante un viaggio in Portogallo nell’estate del 2019 ascoltando People Collective, l’opera di congiunta di Dessner e Justin Vernon (Bon Iver). È stata in particolare la canzone Santa Agnes a smuovere Howard a tornare a casa per lavorare sul suo quarto album in studio.

L'uscita del nuovo album di Ben Howard è accompagnata da un esclusivo concerto online in streaming il 8 aprile alle 21 per ascoltare Collections from the Whiteout per la prima volta dal vivo.
