Salmo, stage name of Maurizio Pisciottu, showed his talent for hip hop at a young age when he began to write his first lines at the end of the nineties. The rapper from Olbia, Sardinia, is known for his versatility: he produced rap metal, hard rock, and hardcore punk albums such as Terapia in 2004, 21 Grams in 2006 and Orange Bloom in 2009 with Skasico.

Salmo, the multi-faceted artists who performed at sold-out stadiums and arenas, released 6 studio albums: The Island Chainsaw Massacre from 2011, Death USB from 2012, Midnite from 2013, Hellvisback from 2016, Playlist from 2018 and the last one, FLOP, released in 2021. FLOP reached the first position of the Top 10 Global Album Debuts. The album, which features 17 tracks, saw the collaboration of important artists of the Italian music scene such as Noyz Narcos in GHIGLIOTTINA, Marracash in LA CHIAVE, Guè Pequeno in YHWH, Par-T-One in FUORI DI TESTA and Shari in L'ANGELO CADUTO.

Among the most famous songs of Salmo we can find 1984 included in the homonymous of album of 2016, Don Medellìn featuring Rose Villain of 2016, Estate Dimmerda of 2017, Cabriolet in collaboration with Sfera Ebbasta of 2018 the famous Il Cielo Nella Stanza with more than 146 million streams on Spotify and KUMITE.

Salmo was the first solo rapper to perform at the San Siro Stadium in Milan, on 6 July 2022. Throughout the concert he retraced all the stages of his career through his greatest successes: from Il senso dell’odio and Yoko-ono, featured in his first album, The Island Chainsaw Massacre, sung a cappella in front of 50,000 excited people, to some of his best hits, such as S.A.L.M.O., 1984, Giuda, Io sono qui, Mic Taser, L’alba, Hellvisback, PERDONAMI, 90MIN, HO PAURA DI USCIRE, IL CIELO NELLA STANZA feat. NSTASIA, LA CANZONE NOSTRA, CRIMINALE, KUMITE. A super stage, lights, fireworks, a powerful band and a lot of guests: Lazza, Ensi, Nitro, BLANCO, Noyz Narcos and the surprise Fedez, with whom Salmo has made peace lately.

in 2023 Salmo released CVLT, the joint album with Noyz Narcos released on 3 November. His last studio album was published on May 9 2025 and is called RANCH.
