About
LA LOM, short for the Los Angeles League of Musicians, is an American instrumental trio originating from Los Angeles, California. The band consists of guitarist Zac Sokolow, bassist Jake Faulkner, and percussionist Nicholas Baker.
Born from impromptu sessions at the Hollywood Roosevelt Hotel, they have forged a unique sound that fuses the energy of cumbia, Peruvian chicha, and bolero with the nostalgic charm of surf rock and classic soul. Their music is a sonic homage to 1950s and 1960s Los Angeles.
After releasing a debut EP in 2021 and gaining millions of views on social media, LA LOM debuted with their first full-length album, The Los Angeles League of Musicians, on August 9, 2024, under Verve Records. The album was an immediate success, debuting in the top five of the Billboard Tropical Albums chart and leading to a tour with Vampire Weekend.
