About
Giorgia, stage name of Giorgia Todrani, is a singer and musician from Rome, recognized as the leading Italian representative of soul music.
Giorgia gained fame through her participation in the 1994 Sanremo Music Festival in the Newcomers' Section with the song E Poi, followed by her debut album Giorgia, which sold over 180,000 copies. In the same year, she took part in Luciano Pavarotti's Pavarotti & Friends program, where she performed Who Wants To Live Forever by the Queen and collaborated with renowned artists such as Bryan Adams, Sting, and Andrea Bocelli.
Among Giorgia's most famous tracks are the hit Come Saprei presented at the 1995 Sanremo Music Festival, Un’Ora Sola Ti Vorrei from the 1997 album Mangio Troppa Cioccolata, Girasole from the self-titled 1999 album, Di sole e d’azzurro from Senza Ali (2001), Gocce di Memoria from Ladra di Vento (2003), and Oronero from the self-titled 2006 album.
Throughout her career, the Roman singer has collaborated with high-caliber artists such as Elio e Le Storie Tese, Lionel Richie, Pino Daniele, Fiorello, Frankie HI-NRG MC, and Gemitaiz and MadMan.
Giorgia also appeared in the film Scordato by Rocco Papaleo, where she played the role of co-protagonist.
In 2023, Giorgia participated in the Sanremo Music Festival with the song Parole dette male and co-hosted the second evening of the Festival alongside Amadeus.
In September 2024, she took on the role of host of the talent show X Factor, in an edition featuring judges Manuel Agnelli, Jake La Furia, Achille Lauro, and Paola Iezzi.
