Matteo Professione, aka Ernia, is a rapper from Milan. Ernia approached the hip hop world when he was very young, mainly thanks to his childhood friend Tedua.

He began his artistic career in 2011 when, together with Ghali, the singer Maite and the producer Fonzi Beat, he joined the group Troupe D'Elite with the alias ErNyah. In 2012, the group released their EP of the same name, but it was not well received by critics; after another two years without any particular success, Troupe D'Elite decided to break up.

After this interlude, Ernia began his solo career with hip hop, R&B and jazz sounds and a writing style that sometimes refers to literature. Among the records released there were the single Fenomeno in collaboration with Izi and the EP No Hooks.

In June 2017, Ernia’s first studio album Come uccidere un usignolo was released, the title of which refers to the novel Il buio oltre la siepe, and was certified gold, as were the songs Bella and Madonna.

The singles La pelle del puma, Domani and Simba preceded the platinum album 68. Ernia's latest album, Gemini, was certified Gold in three weeks and the single Superclassico went Platinum.

In 2021, Ernia put out two new singles: Ferma a guardare in collaboration with Pinguini Tattici Nucleari and Di notte in collaboration with Sfera Ebbasta and Carl Brave.

In 2022 Ernia released his new work Io Non Ho Paura preceded by Bella Fregatura and including the collaboration with artists like Marco Mengoni, Salmo, Geolier & Junior K, Gaia & Guè and Salmo.
