Baustelle are an Italian indie rock band, formed in 1996 in Montepulciano, Tuscany.
Baustelle emerged from the Italian underground scene at the end of the nineties and entered then a mainstream market without compromising its artistic integrity and, most of all, the quality of its albums.
Their first album, Sussidiario illustrato della giovinezza, was released on 1 July 2000 and was defined by critics as one of the best Italian debuts of the year. From there on a long successful career, in which the band built their own unique style.
Since 2005 the band is composed of three elements: Francesco Bianconi for voice, guitars, synth, organ, Rachele Bastreghi for voice, synth, electric piano, clavinet, organ, percussion and Claudio Brasini for guitars. Baustelle have released 8 albums: Sussidiario illustrato della giovinezza in 2000, La moda del lento in 2003, La malavita in 2005, Amen in 2008, I mistici dell'Occidente in 2010, Fantasma in 2013, L'amore e la violenza in 2017 and the latest one, L'amore e la violenza vol.2, in 2018.
