About
“If reincarnation is real, how does that shape society?
“If reincarnation means accumulation of knowledge, would you share it and enable everyone to understand more about the world? Or do you struggle for power? And do some people want to stop others from remembering who they were?”
Alfa Mist
Since the release of his first full-length project Nocturne in 2015, Alfa Mist has established himself as one of the UK's most sought-after musical voices. He has collaborated with artists such as Jordan Rakei and Tom Misch.
Artists seek him out for his unique style, which combines intimate chamber production with sweeping jazz orchestrations, and because Alfa continues to defy genre definition. His music ranges from hip-hop production and collaborations with rappers such as Loyle Carner to composing neoclassical works for the London Contemporary Orchestra and remixing tracks by composer Ólafur Arnalds and historic jazz label Blue Note.
Alfa Mist continues to develop his creative vision with the announcement of his new album Roulette, out 3 October on Sekito Records. Roulette is a sci-fi concept album set in a dystopian future where reincarnation is a scientifically proven fact. Conceived, written and produced entirely by Alfa, the album features New York rapper Homeboy Sandman, British soul star Tawiah and singer and multi-instrumentalist Kaya Thomas-Dyke.
