About
Wolfmother are a stoner rock band from Sydney, Australia, active since 2000.
Wolfmother are currently composed by Andrew Stockdale, vocals and guitar, Ian Peres on keyboards, Dave Atkins on rhythm guitar, Hamish Rosser on drums and Jake Bennet on bass.
Wolfmother began their career in 2003, but their name began to circulate in Australia in 2004, with the release of the eponymous EP, never released in Italy. The EP was quite successful at home, winning radio trials and selling over 10.000 copies. In 2005, the band began recording their self-titled debut album with producer Dave Sardy, in Los Angeles, United States.
The album Wolfmother was released on 31 October 2005 in Australia. The four songs already on the EP were re-recorded and appear on the album in a different version. The album was released worldwide on 24 April 2006 in the United Kingdom and the rest of Europe and on 2 May 2006 in the United States. The non-Australian versions contain a bonus track, Love Train, originally recorded for an Apple commercial.
Throughout their career, Wolfmother released five albums, Wolfmother, Cosmic Egg, New Crown, Victorious and Rock'n'Roll Baby.
