Vasco Rossi Biography
Vasco Rossi is the Zocca-native “provoking author”. After initially working as a screenwriter, director and actor, Vasco turned to music, releasing 17 studio albums.
After rising to prominence in 1980 with the song Colpa d’Alfredo, Vasco Rossi took part in Sanremo Music Festival in 1983 with the quintessential track Vita spericolata which cemented his status as Italy’s biggest rock star.
After the release of C’è Chi Dice No, which is regarded by some as his best record, Vasco started performing in bigger venues. In 1998, Il Blasco was the first artist to ever play at Autodromo Internazionale Enzo e Dino Ferrari in Imola for the first edition of Heineken Jammin’ Festival. Vasco came back to the festival in 2001 and in 2005. Vasco Rossi's concert at Modena Park on July, 1 2017 set a world record in 2017, as it drew 225,173 attendees.
On 25 October 2019, Vasco released his latest single Se ti potessi dire, which had high rotation on the Italian radio charts. The official music video of the rock ballad has scored over 3 million views. Vasco Rossi announced three dates (25, 26 and 27 November 2019) for Pepsy Romanoff’s Music Film, three unmissable movie events to relive Vasco Rossi’s 2018 and 2019 summer shows. Vasco performed 6 times at San Siro Stadium in Milan in June 2019. On December, 6 2019 Il Blasco put out the live album recorded at his six record breaking San Siro shows.
