Umbria Jazz, the most important jazz festival in Italy, takes place every year at the Arena Santa Giulia in Perugia in July.
Over the years, Umbria Jazz has changed its look, but has never betrayed the spirit and identity that have made its fortune over the years, along with the quality of its high-quality line-up.
Umbria Jazz has managed to a great international event in a relatively small city and region.
Since its foundation in 1973, Umbria Jazz has welcomed the greatest international musicians including Elton John, Carlos Santana, James Brown, Donna Summer, Eric Clapton, Earth, Wind & Fire, Simply Red and B.B. King.
Since the 1982 edition, the festival line up has included different music genres such as rock, blues and Brazilian music.
Nick Mason's Saucerful of Secrets and Thom Yorke were the headliners of Umbria Jazz 2019.
