Travis Scott, stage name of Jacques Bermon Webster II, is a rapper and record producer from Houston, Texas.

His stage name is inspired by Travis, his uncle, and the real name of one of his favorite artists, Kid Cudi, stage name of Scott Mescudi. He began making music at a very young age, achieving success with his first appearance on a big project, Kanye West’s GOOD Music EP, Cruel Summer, in 2012.

His debut project, the mixtape Owl Pharaoh, features artists such as T.I., 2 Chainz, Toro y Moi and Justin Vernon from Bon Iver. Before releasing his first official album, Travis Scott released another mixtape: Days Before Rodeo.

The singles 3500 and Antidote anticipated his highly anticipated first official album, Rodeo, which is released on 4 September 2015. The album features artists such as Quavo, Future, 2 Chainz, Juicy J, Kacy Hill, The Weeknd, Swae Lee, Chief Keef, Kanye West, Justin Bieber, Young Thug, Toro y Moi and Schoolboy Q.

Scott’s second album is titled Birds in the Trap Sing McKnight. Released on 2 September 2016, it features André 3000, Kid Cudi and Kendrick Lamar.

On 21 December 2017 the artist released the joint album with Quavo, Huncho Jack, Jack Huncho.

On 3 August 2018 he released his third studio album, Astroworld, which he considers to be the real sequel to Rodeo. The album is named after an old Houston amusement park, now demolished, and contains the singles BUTTERFLY EFFECT and the hit SICKO MODE with Drake.

In 2019 Travis released the single HIGHEST IN THE ROOM and, later, JACKBOYS, the compilation with the artists of his label, Cactus Jack Records. The album features ROSALÍA and Lil Baby in the remix of HIGHEST IN THE ROOM, Shack Wes, Quavo, Offset, Young Thug, Don Toliver, Pop Smoke.

In 2020 Travis collaborated with Kid Cudi in THE SCOTTS and with ROSALÍA in TKN.

In 2022 Travis Scott released the singles ESCAPE PLAN and MAFIA.

Known for his style halfway between singing and rap, with a particular and identifying use of autotune, Travis Scott is one of the most influential artists of the contemporary scene, having helped to shape the sound of trap and in general of all current urban music, as witnessed by the eight Grammy Awards nominations and the victory of a Latin Grammy Award.

After five long years, Travis Scott finally released his long-awaited new album, Utopia, on July 28, 2023. Consisting of 19 tracks and featuring no less than 18 guests, the brand new album features the likes of Drake, Future, SZA, Bad Bunny, The Weeknd, Beyoncé, Rob49, Playboi Carti, Kid Cudi, Sheck Wes, Bon Aver, Sampha, Young Thug, 21 Savage, Westside Gunn, James Blake, Teezo Touchdown, and Yung Lean.

The album was preceded by two singles, K-pop and Delresto (Echoes), and was accompanied by the film, Circus Maximus, a surreal and psychedelic journey that explores Travis' feelings felt in recent times and his concept of a utopian world.
