Tigran Hamasyan è un pianista e compositore armeno.

Hamasyan ha creato uno stile musicale unico che attinge dal jazz, dalla musica popolare armena e da altri generi musicali. La sua musica si distingue per l'uso caratteristico del ritmo, l'enorme abilità tecnica e la sensibilità melodica.

Rinomato per la sua capacità di combinare elementi improvvisati con sofisticate strutture compositive Hamasyan ha pubblicato diversi album nel corso della sua carriera: World Passion (2006), Red Hail (2009), A Fable (2011) An Ancient Observer (2017) e The Call Within(2020), StandArt (2022).

Tigran Hamasyan ha ricevuto numerosi riconoscimenti per la sua musica, tra cui il prestigioso Thelonious Monk International Jazz Piano Competition nel 2006.

È considerato uno dei pianisti jazz più innovativi e interessanti della sua generazione e continua a influenzare la scena musicale con la sua creatività e originalità.
