With Radiohead, whose name is a tribute to the Talking Heads song “Radio Head”, Thom Yorke has released nine studio albums: “Pablo Honey” (1993), “The Bends” (1995), “OK Computer” (1997), “Kid A” (2000), “Amnesiac” (2001), “Hail to the Thief” (2003), “In Rainbows” (2007), “The King of Limbs” (2011) and “A Moon Shaped Pool” (2016). In 2019, Radiohead entered the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame.
Thom Yorke’s debut solo album “The Eraser” was nominated for the 2006 Mercury Music Prize and the 2007 Grammy Award for Best Alternative Music Album.
In 2009, Yorke formed the band “Atoms for Peace” with Red Hot Chilli Peppers bassist Flea, Nigel Godrich, Joey Wronker (Beck and R.E.M.) and Mauro Refosco. The supergroup released “Amok” in 2013. In 2014, Thom Yorke put out his second studio album “Tomorrow’s Modern Boxes.”
On June, 27 2019, Thom Yorke released his third studio album “Anima”, which was accompanied by the namesake short film directed by Paul Thomas Anderson (available via Netflix.) “Anima” is Thom Yorke’s first album to debut at #1 on the Billboard Dance/Electronic Albums Chart.
Yorke has collaborated with many artists, including PJ Harvey and Björk. His first feature film soundtrack “Suspiria” was nominated for Best Original Song at the 2019 Academy Awards.
