The Darkness are one of the most appreciated English hard rock bands. The band consists of Justin Hawkins (voice and guitar), Dan Hawkins (guitar and choirs), Frankie Poullain (bass and choirs) and Rufus Tiger Taylor (drums).
The Darkness achieved the fame with their debut album Permission to Land of 2003 including the songs Love Is Only a Feeling, Growing on Me and the famous I Believe in a Thing Called Love certified platinum in UK and included in the list of “100 Greatest Guitar Tracks” of Q.
Permission to Land, elected Best British Album at Brit Awards of 2004, was followed by One Way Ticket to Hell…And Back (2005) and by a world tour. The band dissolved after Justin Hawkins left the group.
The Darkness reunited in 2011 to perform as the co-healiner of Def Leppard at Donwload Festival in Notthingam and to work to the new album Hot Cakes released in 2012.
The latest work of The Darkess is the album Motorheart released in October 2021 and preceded by the homonymous song.
