Brittney Denise Parks, aka Sudan Archives, is an American violinist and singer originally from Cincinnati.
She began playing the violin as a self-taught musician at a very young age. Her debut EP entitled Sudan Archives, was released in 2017, while in 2018 she released the EP Sink.
Sudan Archives' first studio album is Athena, released on 1 November 2019.
Sudan Archives is among the most interesting artists on the current music scene. A mix of experimentation and tradition with a unique sound that mixes elements of R&B with violin, African sounds with elements of experimental electronics and funk.
The artist says she was inspired by Sudanese fiddle music, the R&B genre and experimental electronic music.
