After the huge success of the Global Tour 2024 that saw them as protagonists in our country with 6 sold out dates, Simple Minds arrive in Italy in 2025, on Tuesday 15 July at the Arena di Verona and Saturday 26 and Sunday 27 July at the Teatro Antico of Taormina. Two places that embody the history and artistic beauty of Italy will be the setting for the shows of the Scottish band, promising an unrepeatable live experience.

Formed in the 1970s and named after a text - "so simple minded" - of David Bowie’s famous 1972 single The Jean Genie, Simple Minds have become one of the most successful groups from the UK, selling over 60 million records worldwide, with number one singles on both sides of the Atlantic and number one albums worldwide, including 5 UK number 1 albums: Sparkle In The Rain (1984), Once Upon A Time (1985) and Street Fighting Years, as well as the recording of the concert Live In The City Of Light (1987) and the compilation Glittering Prize 81/92.

Over the past 10 years, Simple Minds have rekindled the magic that has made them a vital artistic force, found themselves being quoted by younger artists and playing to tens of thousands of people every year around the world. The demand to see the band perform in well-known hits, including Promised You a Miracle, Glittering Prize, Someone Somewhere in Summertime, Waterfront, Alive and Kicking, Sanctify Yourself and Don’t You Forget About Me, has grown year by year, with the band constantly acclaimed as one of the best live bands of its generation. Referring to their 2022 concert at the Wembley Arena, the newspaper The Times said: "back in fashion and in great shape".  They have been awarded the Q Awards Lifetime Achievement and received universal critical acclaim for their recent albums. Big Music of 2015 was called by the magazine MOJO "their best album in 30 years", while Walk Between Worlds of 2018 saw Simple Minds engaged in their biggest US tour to date and, along with Direction Of The Heart of 2022, reached number 4 in the UK and top 10 in several territories.
