I Satanic Surfers sono un gruppo punk rock svedese di Lund, nella regione della Scania. I Satanic Surfers sono stati formati nell'autunno del 1989 dal cantante Erik Kronwall e dal batterista Rodrigo Alfaro. Poco dopo, Frederik Jakobsen e Magnus Blixtberg si uniscono alla chitarra, mentre Tomek Sokolowski si dedica al basso.

Il gruppo pubblica il suo album di debutto solo nel 1993. Intitolato Skate to Hell, il disco è il primo pubblicato dalla Bad Taste Records. Ulf Eriksson sostituisce Erik come voce per Keep Out del 1994, pubblicato dalla Burning Heart Records. Quando quest'ultimo lascia a sua volta il gruppo, Alfaro diventa il cantante del gruppo, pur mantenendo i compiti di batterista.

Dopo altri tre LP con Burning Heart e diversi cambi di formazione, il gruppo torna a Bad Taste per due uscite nel 2000. Dopo Unconsciously Confined del 2002, il gruppo aggiunge il bassista Andy Dahlström e il batterista Robert Samsonovitz e pubblica il suo ultimo album, Taste the Poison del 2005. Si sciolgono nel 2007.

Dopo aver ricevuto un'offerta dall'Amnesia Rockfest nel 2014, la band ha annunciato che si sarebbe riunita per il tour dei festival estivi del 2015. Includendo l'Amnesia Rockfest e lo Spanish Resurrection Fest.

Nel settembre 2017, la band ha annunciato su Instagram la registrazione di un nuovo album. Back from Hell è stato regolarmente pubblicato nel 2018.
