Rocco Hunt, stage name of Rocco Pagliarulo, was born and raised in Salerno where at the age of eleven he approached hip-hop with freestyle competitions. In 2011 the rapper with the pseudonym of Rocco Hunt put out the mixtape successful Spiraglio di Periferia, including the collaborations with Clementino and ‘Ntò.
The Italian rapper achieved the fame in 2013 with the debut album Poeta Urbano produced by Shablo and Fritz da Cat. The songs taken off Poeta Urbano were Io Posso, Fammi Vivere and L’Ammore Overo. The following year Rocco Hunt won the Sanremo Music Festival of 2014 as New Proposal with the song Nu Juorno Buono. The famous song certified platinum was included in the album ‘A Verità with the participation of Noyz Narcos, Ensi, Gemitaiz, MadMan, Nitro, Eros Ramazzotti and Federico Zampaglione from Tiromancino.
Throughout his career Rocco Hunt has also released the albums SignorHunt, certified gold in 2015 with the hit Se Mi Chiami featuring Neffa, and the platinum album Libertà of 2019 with Ti Volevo Dedicare in collaboration with J-Ax & Boomdabash.
The Poeta Urbano was also the star of summer 2021 thanks to the hit Un Bacio All’Improvviso featuring the singer Ana Mena.
In 2021 Rocco Hunt released his new anticipated album La Rivoluzione with the participation of important Italian artists such as Guè Pequeno, Carl Brave, Fabri Fibra, Luchè, Emis Killa and Geolier. La Rivoluzione was preceded by the song Fantastica featuring Boomdabash with more than 2 million streams.
