Pallacanestro Roseto: season 2024/2025

Pallacanestro Roseto is a basketball club from Roseto degli Abruzzi, in the province of Teramo, Abruzzo.

Roseto Basket was originally founded in 1946. Over the years it also took part in six consecutive Serie A championships, from 2000-2001 to 2005-2006, and came close to reaching the 2003 Italian Cup final. The history of the new Pallacanestro Roseto is still short, but the company is projecting a modern management of the sports club whose main mission is sustainability and brand enhancement. Recently refounded in 2020, Pallacanestro Roseto plays in the Serie B basketball league.

The history of the new Pallacanestro Roseto is (still) “short but intense.” The governance of the company, the “Le Quote Consortium,” has in its name an important reference to history, and is projected for the first time ever in a 2.0 management of a sports club, through the establishment of a Consortium whose main mission is sustainability

In the 2020/2021 season, Pallacanestro Roseto, in its first year of existence, goes all the way to the final to gain access to A2 against Nardò: the Apulian team got the better of them in the decisive Game 5, ending the series 3-2 at the expense of the Biancazzurri.

In the following season, Liofilchem won the Coppa Italia Serie B in March 2022 in the final against UEB Gesteco Cividale at PalaMaggetti and finished first in Group C, centering another final against Rimini, after beating Cestistica Torrenovese and Ancona. Once again, however, it is the opponents who get the better of them. Rimini wins the series 3-1 and detaches the pass for A2.

In the third season, the one of 2022/2023, the Biancazzurri take second place in Group D behind Luiss Roma. In the playoffs, however, comes the stop in the first round, against Ristopro Fabriano.

In the fourth season (2023/2024), the Biancazzurri present themselves to the starting ribbons with a completely renewed roster, in which stands out the Greek star Vangelis Mantzaris who, boasts in his personal palmares, two EuroLeagues, an Intercontinental Cup and three Greek championships. The technical leadership also changes: the club entrusts the team to Coach Franco Gramenzi, who leads his team to first place in the Regular Season in the B round only to surrender in Game 5 of the PlayOff Final, against Libertas Livorno.

The facility where Pallacanestro Roseto plays its home games is PalaMaggetti.
