Ornella Vanoni, also known as The Lady of the Italian Song, is one of the most famous Italian singer with more than 55 copies sold.
Ornella debuted in the music world in 1958 releasing a song included in the EP The Song of Malavita. Two years later the artist met Gino Paoli and the duo has begin an artistic collaboration creating a repertoire suitable for the singer. The first hit of Ornella Vanoni is Cercami (1961) included in the homonymous debut album Ornella Vanoni.
Among the most famous songs of Ornella Vanoni we can recall L’Appuntamento, Domani è Un Altro Giorno, Dettagli, Ti Voglio and La Voglia, La Pazzia. Ornella has collaborated with artists like Herbie Hancock, Michael Brecker and Ron Carter besides authors like Dario Fo, Paolo Conte, Fabrizio De Andrè, Mogol, Renato Zero and Riccardo Cocciante.
Troughout her career, Ornella Vanoni took part in Sanremo Music Festival for eight times where she won the Premio Citta di Sanremo alla Carriera.
