About
Modà is an Italian pop rock music group whose career began in Milan in 2002.
Led by singer-songwriter Francesco Silvestre (aka Kekko), who writes the group's lyrics and music, they are the only Italian band in history to have achieved a diamond record-the highest accolade for music in Italy-and have sold more than 2 million copies with their work. After releasing three moderately successful albums and participating with the song Riesci a innamorarmi at the 2005 Sanremo Festival, in 2011 the band rose to prominence with the album Viva i romantici, which sold more than 450 000 copies in Italy dragged by the hit singles La notte, Sono già solo and Come un pittore, the latter in a duet with Pau Donés of Jarabe de Palo. In the same year, Modà participated in the 2011 Sanremo Festival with the song Arriverà, a duet with Emma, and came in second place in the competition. They also participate in the 2013 Festival, coming in third place with the song Se si potesse non morire. In 2015 they released the album Passione Maledetta and then returned to the scene in 2019 with Testa o Croce, the band's seventh project. On Nov. 12, 2021, they release the first part of the EP Good Luck (part one), consisting of six tracks and followed by Good Luck (part two) in 2022. on Nov. 11 of the same year they concludes the trilogy with the third part of the EP. In 2023 and 2025, the band participated in the Sanremo Italian Song Festival.
