Lorde, the stage name of Ella Yelich-O'Connor, rose to prominence at the age of sixteen with Royals , the debut single from her first EP The Love Club EP and first studio album, Pure Heroine, produced by Joel Little (Khalid, Taylor Swift).
Lorde's Pure Heroine has sold over 4 million copies worldwide and was nominated for two Grammy Awards, including the prestigious Album of the Year, and a BRIT Award. The multi-platinum debut single Royals is certified double Platinum in Italy, while the third track off Pure Heroine Team is a Platinum record in Italy. Thanks to her debut album, Ella has become the voice of a generation and one of the most acclaimed international popstars.
In 2017, Lorde's second album was released, preceded by Green Light. Melodrama, produced by Jack Antonoff (fun., Bleachers, Taylor Swift, Lana Del Rey), debuted at #1 on the US Albums chart and at #8 on the Italian Albums chart.
Four years after Melodrama, the New Zealand record artist defined the future of music by Davide Bowie has broken her silence with her new single Solar Power. The first song off Lorde's forthcoming new album is a summer anthem inspired by the folk songwriters of the 1960s and 1970s and pop music from the early 2000s (The Mamas & The Papas, Crosby, Stills & Nash, but also TLC, Destiny's Child and All Saints).
