Lodovico Guenzi, aka Lodo, is a singer from Bologna and member of the band Lo Stato Sociale, as well as an actor and composer.
In 2010 Lo Stato Sociale debuted with the EP Welfare Pop. The following year they released their second EP entitled Amore ai tempi dell'Ikea. Lodo Guenzi and Lo Stato Sociale then participated in the Buscaglione Award, achieving first position in the event. The album Turisti della democrazia (Tourists of Democracy) was released, anticipating a tour of two hundred dates and allowing them to win the Siae Award as the best young talents of the year and the Targa Giovani Mei.
Lodo Guenzi and his troupe began the Tronisti della democrazia tour, a theater-song show with sketches, monologues and musical pieces. In 2014 the Stato Sociale released the single C'eravamo tanto sbagliati, which anticipated the second album L'Italia peggiore.
In 2016 the singles Amarsi male and Mai stati meglio anticipated the release of the album Amore, lavoro e altri miti da sfatare. In 2018 Lo Stato Sociale took part in the Sanremo Festival with the song Una vita in vacanza, with the participation of the dancer Paddy Jones, which ranked second.
In 2018 Lodovico Guenzi joined the cast of the music talent show X Factor as a judge, alongside Mara Maionchi, Manuel Agnelli and Fedez.
The second participation of Lo Stato Sociale at the Sanremo Festival with the song Combat Pop dates back to 2021. On January 28, 2021 they released the EP Bebo, followed by Checco, Carota, Lodo and Albi, for a total of five EPs, each sung by the member in question. The five EPs are collected in an album entitled Attentato alla musica italiana.
