Successfully landed on Broadway in 2009 and based on the characters created by Charles Addams, The Addams Family, the musical dedicated to the eccentric and gothic American family protagonist of films, TV series and comic strips, famous all over the world for the brilliant black humor, the overwhelming paradoxes and the pungent satire of costume, uses the lyrics of Marshall Brickman and Rick Elice and the music of Andrew Lippa.

The musical The Addams Family tells of the annual reunion of all family members, alive, dead and undecided, in which the eldest daughter Wednesday announces that she has fallen in love with Lucas, a young boy raised in a boring and respectable family. Frightened by her mother’s possible reaction, Wednesday decides to confide in her father, Gomez Addams, making him swear not to reveal to Morticia his engagement to Lucas and his proposal of marriage. This is the first time Gomez has kept a secret from his beloved consort. Everything will change completely for both families on the crucial night when the Addams invite Lucas and his parents Mal and Alice to dinner. The tension will rise to the stars, between suspicions, misunderstandings, accidents, confessions, oddities. Thanks to the help of the ancestors and all the members of the strange family this story will have its happy ending.
