Fantastic Negrito Tickets

Xavier Dphrepaulezz, aka Fantastic Negrito, was drawn to music when he was a child. At 12, Fantastic Negrito discovered his deep and raspy voice, which has often been compared to Leonard Cohen’s and Janis Joplin’s. Following ebbs and flows, in 2016 Fantastic Negrito released the album The Last Days of Oakland. On the latter, which was awarded the Grammy for Best Contemporary Blues Album at the Grammy Awards 2017, hip hop, funky and soul sounds perfectly merge.

Fantastic Negrito’s latest album, Please Don’t Be Dead, was released in June 2018 and won the Grammy for Best Contemporary Blues Album at the Grammy Awards 2019.

The music magazine Blow Up describes Please Don’t Be Dead as a blues rock electronic album watched over by Jimi Hendrix’s guardian spirit ranging from Led Zeppelin’s hard rock to heavy funk and soul influences and original hip hop drives.

Fantastic Negrito’s songs are frank, moving, energetic and dense with black music. His album Have You Lost Your Mind Yet?, came out on 17 July 2020 and his last one, White Jesus Black Problems, came out on 3 June 2022.
