About

Elbow was formed in Bury, near Manchester, in 1997 while its members were studying at college. Elbow consists of Guy Garvey (vocals, guitar), Craig Potter (keys), Mark Potter (guitar) and Pete Turner (bass). The lead singer Guy Edward is also a BBC 6 Music presenter.

Elbow’s “The Take Off and Landing of Everything” (2014) and “Little Fictions” (2017) both debuted on the British Top Album Charts.

Elbow is a critically acclaimed band and has won several awards throughout their career, including the 2008 Mercury Prize for the album “The Seldom Seen Kid” and the Brit Award for the Best British Band in 2009.

Elbow is releasing a special vinyl of “Seldom Seen Kid Live At Abbey Road”, to mark the album’s 10-year birthday. Meanwhile, Elbow is working on its eighth studio, “Giant Of All Sizes”, out on October 2019.

Elbow has built a strong reputation: while sticking to its core alternative and post rock sound, Elbow has also experimented with brit pop electronic-tinged music.
