The show OVO of Cirque du Soleil will arrive in Italy

OVO, the Cirque du Soleil show inspired by the world of insects, arrives in Italy in the most important venues in 2023. OVO will stop at Pala Alpitour of Turin from September 28 to October 1, at Vitrifrigo Arena of Pesaro from October 26 to October 29, at Unipol Arena of Bologna from November 2 to November 5 and at Nelson Mandela Forum of Florence from November 8 to November 12.

OVO is the twenty-fifth touring production of Cirque du Soleil that debuted in Canada in 2009 conceived and directed by Deborah Colker. The name of the show is the translation of the word egg into Portuguese that represents the leitmotif of the show, focused on the birth and life cycle of insects.

OVO has a cast of over 50 artists from 16 different countries who perform on a stage created specifically for the show full of scenography and supports that allow the protagonists to engage in numbers and stunts. The show is accompanied by a soundtrack influenced by Brazilian music and samba.

The biggest circus in the world

Cirque du Soleil is the most famous artistic company in the world founded in Canada in 1984 by Gilles Ste-Croix and Guy Laliberté. The company is known from the beginning for the high level of performances and shows. In the late 1980s the company began its run-up to fame first in the United States, with shows at the Bellaggio in Las Vegas and the Walt Disney World Resort in Orlando, and then conquered the whole world.
