After the success of his latest album and the sold-out arena tour starting in December, Calcutta announces the Relax Tour Estivo 2024, which will see him play 13 concerts in the main Italian cities and festivals, giving fans the opportunity to listen live to tracks from his new album, as well as the great hits that have marked his career.

Calcutta, stage name of Edoardo D'Erme, is a singer-songwriter from Latina. Until 2011 Edoardo was part of the indie pop duo Calcutta together with Marco Crypta. From 2012, Edoardo began his solo career under the pseudonym Calcutta, recording the album Forse... and the EP The Sabaudian Tape.

In 2015, Calcutta signed a contract with the label Bomba Dischi and on 30 November 2015 released the debut album Mainstream, composed in collaboration with Marta Venturini and with the Roman singer-songwriter and producer Niccolò Contessa de I Cani. From Mainstream were extracted the singles Cosa Mi Manchi A Fare, Gaetano and Frosinone.

In 2016, Calcutta released Oroscopo, one of its most successful songs, produced by the duo Takagi & Ketra.

On 25 May 2018, Calcutta released their second album, Evergreen, from which they released the singles Orgasmo, Pesto, Paracetamolo and Kiwi.

At the same time, Edoardo continued his writing career: he wrote the song Mi Hai Fatto Fare Tardi for Nina Zilli, the songs Milano Intorno and Allergia for J-Ax e Fedez, the songs Io Non Abito Al Mare, Tropicale, La Serie B and Tapioca for Francesca Michielin, the song Latina for Emma and the song MARE DI GUAI for ARIETE, that brought the song to the Sanremo Music Festival in 2023. Edoardo also wrote for Elisa the song Se Piovesse Il Tuo Nome, also published in a version in which the two artists interpret it together.

Calcutta also collaborated with Franco126 on the song Blue Jeans, with TROPICO on the song Non esiste amore a Napoli and with Marracash on the song LAUREA AD HONOREM.

Calcutta defied the way of understanding independent music as an outsider. Calcutta has claimed to be inspired by various Italian artists, including Lucio Battisti, Lucio Dalla and Luca Carboni, but also by the music of Brazil, in particular that of Caetano Veloso.
