Amyl and The Sniffers sono Amy Taylor (voce), Gus Romer (basso) Bryce Wilson (batteria) e Declan Martens (chitarra). Il gruppo ha debuttato nel 2016 con l’EP Giddy Up scritto e registrato in sole dodici ore. Giddy Up è stato seguito dall’omonimo Amyl and The Sniffers, il primo album della band, pubblicato nel 2019 e prodotto da Ross Orton degli Add N To (X). L’album si è aggiudicato un ARIA Award for Best Rock Album ed è stato nominato all’Australian Music Prize del 2019.

Amyl and The Sniffers hanno pubblicato ad ottobre del 2021 il loro secondo album Comfort To Me, anticipato dai singoli Guided by Angels, Security e Hertz. L’album presenta un suono allo stesso tempo grezzo e rifinito, uno dei rari casi in cui energia magmatica e produzione sapiente riescono a convivere senza fare a cazzotti.

Tra i gruppi citati come le maggiori influenze della band australiana possiamo trovare Minor Threat, Ceremony, AC/DC, Sleaford Mods, Dolly Parton e Cardi B.
